Mallin Chileno Ride
- a Patagonia Estancia Getaway
Horseback riding heaven is found in a remote valley nestled within the majestic Andes. The remote lodge is located on a 360,000-acre working ranch offering incomparable seclusion and privacy in a beautiful setting. The stream side lodge can host up to 12 guests in style and comfort. Great care is taken to make this an authentic Chilean experience.
With many miles of trails, several rivers, lakes and mountain valleys on the ranch, this lodge provides the rare opportunity for diverse horseback riding in one gorgeous private location.
This is a place of spectacular beauty offering an immersion in the enormity of Patagonia. Ride across mountain and through meadows, forests and open pampas. Observe and enjoy a variety of flora and fauna in its natural habitat; the Magellanig woodpecker, the Andean Condor and the Chilean flamingo are just a few examples among a 100 plus species of birds that have been identified inside the ranch. Explore pristine areas and enjoy the comfort of the lodge. The terrain largely dictates the pace and the distance we need to travel on a certain day but where possible there is a lot of trotting and cantering specially during the longer rides. The terrain is varied with two mayor mountain ranges to the North and South of the lodge allowing day trips into remote valleys and lakes, some above timberline. The use of horses is one of the main means of transportation in the area, thus there are trails to most areas of interest within the ranch. We will plan our daily rides the day before and they are tailored to the experience of the rider.
Visiting this corner of Patagonia is like traveling back in time. Most of its inhabitants live from the land raising cattle or sheep. In this remote area, helping your neighbor is a way of life. Here the concept of time and distance are unique. Eight hours on horseback along ancient trails is nothing if it's how long it takes to visit your nearest neighbor.

Then we´ll get to the "sheep hanging bridge", where we will cross the Cisnes river and head south east towards the Canyon. After 15min. We will arrive to the Cañon the las Aguilas, where we stop and observe a family of Black-crested Buzzard-Eagle.
