More
than four thousand miles in length, the mighty Nile is the longest
river on earth. The great waterway has played a monumental role in
history. It traverses an incredible variety of landscapes, a
colorful medley of cultures and since the beginning of time has
enthralled civilizations with its power and mystery. Ancient
Egyptian kings sent armies in search of the source of the great
river and explorers from Herodotus to Speke have sought to chart
it's course.

Until very recently no one had dared challenge the
White Nile at it's source - some of the most powerful and
sustained rapids on earth. |

..after my return I still have shivers of
pleasure and joy, outbreaks of laughter and giggles reflecting
on my holidays. My words cannot express the sheer joy I have
had from my rafting experience.

We made an
historic first descent of the Victoria Nile (source of the White Nile)
in July 1996 and now make regular descents of the White Nile. Up to
ten times the volume of the Zambezi thunders between the heavily
forested islands and wooden canoes laden with excited locals
congregate in the calm waters anxious to see our rafts in action. To
the amazement of our audience we plunge into the maelstrom and ride
the mountainous waves downstream. Our rafts explode through huge walls
of whitewater and drift through warm pools in the equatorial sunshine.
This is whitewater rafting at its very best. |

YEAR ROUND DEPARTURES!
There are no seasonal fluctuations in river flows at the
source of the Nile, unlike other rivers we run. At any time of year,
huge river flows (1000-2000 cumecs) guarantee the most exciting
one and two-day raft trip in the world. Memories of the legendary rapids
'Total Gunga, Overtime and Itanda' will stay with you forever. Our
trip includes transfers from Kampala, a hearty lunch on a forested
river island and rapids no-one else dares to run!

YEAR ROUND DEPARTURES!
Imagine
camping on a secluded island mid-river! This trip is undoubtedly the
best way to experience the Nile. Rafting 46kms in total, you'll be
exhilarated by the huge whitewater of day one. On day two, we combine
some exciting rapids such as 'Nile Special' and surfing in 'Malalu'
with plenty of relaxation.
Floating down the calmer sections of river, we meander our way through
the lush forested islands and local plantations on the bank. We drift
among the curious Busoga people who wave excitedly at us while fishing
from their traditional wooden canoes. There are plenty of
opportunities to swim, relax on the raft and spot the amazing array of
wildlife, including monkeys, fish eagles, monitors, otters and
numerous bird colonies. All this makes for a truly memorable
experience. |

No unexplored region of our times, neither the
heights of the Himalayas, the Antarctic wastes, nor even the hidden
side of the moon, has excited quite the same fascination as the
mystery of the sources of the Nile.

Day 1-2
The two day trip is
unboundedly the best way to experience the Nile. Rafting 46kms
in total it is a wonderful "river journey" into the heart of Busoga
country. After the first day of rafting we pull into the
private island in the Nile to enjoy superb food, drinks &
entertainment around the campfire. One day two we combine some
more exciting rapids with plenty of relaxation. Floating down
the calmer section of river we meander our way through the lush

to swim, relax on the raft and spot the amazing array of wildlife,

birdlife. Included: as for the full one day.. plus a
delicious 3 course dinner around the campfire, beers, sodas, rum
