Today, the inn's rural pace and scenic surroundings nestled on fifteen acres
of rolling foothills of the Green Mountains offer a relaxing hideaway
from the bustle of daily life.
Snuggle with someone special in a big canopy bed by a crackling wood fire. Stroll miles of secluded hiking trails holding hands. Soak up some sun on our man-made beaches then plunge in our private swimming lake. Spacious porches with rockers, and private decks and verandas invite lounging and dreaming.
Wander the back hills on horseback. Tune your tennis and golf games. Or search out antique treasures among our many shops. In winter, cross-country and downhill ski. The alpine areas of Killington, Okemo, Ascutney and Suicide Six are all within 40 minutes of the inn. In the evening relax with a horsedrawn sleigh ride.
Just up the road, famous and picturesque Woodstock burgeons
with art galleries, historic estates and eccentric nooks to explore.
All guest rooms have private bath and television. Most rooms have queen canopy beds. Many have wood-burning fireplaces or Franklin stoves. Several have private decks or terraces. The Celebration Suite has a jacuzzi for two.
Individual tables overlook bulb and perennial gardens or crackling wood fires, and are accented by candlelight. Vivid heirloom quilts from the family collection brighten the airy ambience.
